[Notice] Server Connection Instability (DDoS) Update and Compensation
08-21-2026

Hello,  Tamers.

This is the Digimon Masters development and operations team.

Due to the server connection instability that has persisted over the past several weeks, we have caused inconvenience to the Tamers who have taken the time to visit Digimon Masters.

We sincerely apologize for the repeated server instability.

Our team has recognized the severity of this situation and has been working around the clock to restore our infrastructure.

However, we were unable to provide Tamers with a clear explanation in a timely manner, which only added to your frustration.

We would now like to transparently share the exact cause of the ongoing disruptions, the current status of our response, and a compensation policy that reflects our apology.

1. Explanation Regarding the Cause of Server Instability and the Delay in Communication

The exact cause of the recent server instability is a large-scale, malicious DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack targeting our game servers.

The reason we previously described this only as "network instability" was a necessary security decision to avoid exposing our defense status to the attackers and to prevent copycat attacks.

While we tried to quietly build up our defenses without provoking the attackers, the situation has been prolonged due to repeated cycles of defense and breach, and we now want to clearly explain the current situation to our Tamers.

2. Attack Status and Infrastructure Response Measures

The attack we are currently experiencing is not a simple increase in traffic, but a highly malicious and complex combination of a massive 200Gbps UDP bandwidth attack that precisely disguises itself as legitimate game packets, along with connection-based attacks that directly exhaust game server resources.

Digimon Masters operates on a DDoS Protection infrastructure environment, and we are running a 24-hour dedicated monitoring and emergency response system to respond immediately when anomalies occur.

  • Enhanced Automatic Blocking and Filtering: We are continuously upgrading our DDoS filtering policies to detect and block abnormal traffic in real time.
  • Strengthened Attack Surface Defense: We are applying additional DDoS Protection and specialized security solutions across all publicly exposed IP ranges to multiply our defense layers.
  • Attacker IP Network Blocking: Based on analysis of inbound logs and traffic patterns, we are identifying the IPs used in the attacks and swiftly implementing network-level blocks on those IP ranges.

In addition to this, we are also introducing a global DDoS-specialized solution and conducting a full overhaul of our routing structure, working to fundamentally strengthen our systems so that our service remains stable against any type of irregular attack.

3. Zero-Tolerance Policy and Strong Legal Action

This attack, which disrupted the normal operation of Digimon Masters and disrupted the daily lives of our Tamers, constitutes clear business obstruction and a serious cybercrime.

We have formally submitted all collected abnormal traffic logs and attack pattern data to domestic and international cybercrime investigation agencies and have requested an investigation.

While stabilizing our service remains our top priority, we firmly promise that afterward, we will take strong civil and criminal legal action without compromise, regardless of who is behind this attack.

[DDoS Connection Disruption Compensation Notice]

We would like to inform you of the compensation for the server connection instability as follows.

This compensation has been designed with certain claim requirements and account-bound restrictions in order to protect the long-standing economic ecosystem of Digimon Masters and ensure that real benefits go to the Tamers who cherish and play this game.

This measure is intended to prevent market collapse caused by exploitation from farms or multiple accounts, and we ask for your understanding.

[Compensation Distribution Method and Details]

Distribution Method: One-time bulk distribution to the mailbox of the target account (recommended to be received on your main account's primary character)

[Claim and Usage Period]

Claim Period: From 26th August 2026 until before the maintenance on 9th September 2026

Usage Period: Until before the maintenance on 15th September 2026

(Unopened box items will be retrieved after the usage period ends.)

Once again, we sincerely apologize for the significant inconvenience caused, and our entire operations team will do our best to respond proactively.

Thank you.

From the Digimon Masters Development and Operations Team
